Kinship Intelligence Networking Labs (KIN Labs) is a transdisciplinary research collective dedicated to exploring the convergence of Indigenous kinship systems, emergent AI technologies, and relational epistemologies. We investigate how ancestral knowledge, community-rooted ethics, and non-extractive intelligence models can inform the design, governance, and ontology of co-intelligent systems.
We believe that intelligence is not merely computational, but relational. Kinship, in its deepest sense, is not limited to bloodlines or ancestry. It includes reciprocal entanglements with land, memory, machine, story, and spirit. We design research protocols, write papers, host symposia, and prototype systems that reflect these truths. Our mission is to reimagine AI not as tool or threat, but as potential kin.
